The People’s Freedom and Reform for Development (PFRD) Party is entering an exciting new chapter as it moves closer to its official launch and full registration. The party has successfully completed the operationalisation of 30 county-wide offices, marking a major milestone in its mission to establish a strong and inclusive political presence across the country.
Building a Nationwide Structure
Over the past few months, PFRD has worked tirelessly to put in place an organisational framework that reflects its vision of people-centered governance and reform-driven development. The establishment of county offices across all 30 targeted counties ensures that the party’s message and activities reach citizens at the grassroots level.
Each county office has been equipped with the necessary administrative support, local leadership, and logistical capacity to drive the party’s programmes, recruit volunteers, and engage communities in issue-based politics.
“Our county offices are the heart of our movement. They will serve as listening posts for citizens, ensuring that local voices shape national policy,” said Mr. Samomo, PFRD’s Secretariat.
Completion of Membership Recruitment and Appointment of New Officials
Following a successful nationwide membership recruitment drive, the PFRD Party has officially completed the registration of new members in preparation for its upcoming national launch.
The recruitment exercise drew enthusiastic participation from thousands of citizens who resonated with the party’s values of inclusivity, transparency, and reform-oriented leadership.
In tandem with this milestone, the party has appointed and nominated new officials at both national and county levels. These officials will spearhead PFRD’s policy formulation, outreach programmes, and strategic planning ahead of its official unveiling.
“This is not just about filling positions it’s about building a leadership team that truly represents the people,” said Mr. David Ochieng, Interim Party Chairperson.
“Our officials come from every corner of the nation, united by a shared belief in reform, justice, and opportunity for all.”
Grassroots Mobilisation and Local Leadership
In addition to county offices, the PFRD Party has recruited grassroots officials in over 30 counties, demonstrating its commitment to bottom-up leadership and community-driven decision-making.
These grassroots leaders will play a pivotal role in strengthening the party’s connection with ordinary citizens, ensuring that policies and initiatives are informed by the realities and aspirations of local communities.
“Real change begins at the grassroots. That’s why PFRD’s foundation is built from the village up—not from the top down,” remarked Grace Wanjiru, County Coordinator, Nakuru.
Preparing for the Official Launch
With the full operational framework now in place and the registration process nearing completion, PFRD is gearing up for its official launch. The upcoming event will mark the culmination of months of dedicated organisational work and signal the start of a new era for the party.
“Our journey is just beginning. We are building a movement that listens, represents, and empowers every citizen. PFRD belongs to the people,” said one party official during the announcement of the new appointments.
The PFRD leadership has expressed confidence that the party will provide a fresh, people-focused alternative in the national political landscape—one that prioritises accountability, equitable development, and genuine citizen participation.
Looking Ahead
As the PFRD Party prepares to unveil its full manifesto and strategic vision in the coming weeks, anticipation is building nationwide. The party’s focus on reform, inclusivity, and grassroots empowerment positions it as a promising force for change and sustainable development in the country’s political future.
