Background
Introduction and Party particulous
The PFRD party is founded amidst rising concerns about the perceived gaps in governance, the PFRD presents a fresh alternative to traditional politics. The PFRD promotes a philosophy of modern liberalism, emphasizing both individual freedoms and the role of the state in ensuring equity and justice.
Historical Context:
For years, Kenya's political landscape has been dominated by parties rooted in ethnic, regional loyalties, and personal allegiances. While these parties played crucial roles in the fight for independence and in post-colonial governance, many Kenyans have expressed dissatisfaction with persistent corruption, tribalism, and lack of inclusive development.

 


 

Establishment

There is hereby established a Political Party known as the -Peoples` Forum for Rebuilding Democracy (PFRD) Party hereinafter referred to as “the Party” or “PFRD” in this Constitution.

The Emblem

The Party Symbol is a ballpoint Pen, also known as a biro (British English), ball pen (Hong Kong, Indian and Philippine English), or dot pen (Nepali)". , captioned in a circular frame as is illustrated more in Schedule I hereto. With a blue signature at the tip and two party colours as maroon and blue.

Party Flag

The PFRD flag is rectangular; it is one and a half times longer than it’s wide. It is horizontal comprising from top to bottom, the colour Maroon, blue green with a streak of diagonal red, white and black.

Party Slogan

The Party’s slogan is “The party to be! The change we want! -more particularly illustrated in Schedule IV hereto.

Party Colors

The party colours shall be Maroon and Blue as the dominant combination with red and green as the minor colours as the branding options. Black and white will be used as base colours.

Party Salute

The Party salute is a tick sign in the air using the right hand reflecting the symbol of the party which is a ball point pen with a blue tick signature.

 


 

Overview

Party to be! Change we want!, is guided by principles of social economic democracy, Kenyan Constitution, and in this, the promise to the people of the Republic of Kenya is for the period 2023-2033 (or such other period guided by the electoral calendar- 2027 to 2032).

Our traditional and enduring enemies to progress have been and still remain: poverty, ignorance, and disease.

This manifesto addresses these and other current challenges facing the Republic by prescribing practical solutions thereto to ensure peace, unity, national cohesion, equity, social justice and prosperity for all citizens.

Dissolution of the Party

  1. The Party may be dissolved by a resolution passed by two-thirds majority of registered members of the Party at a National Delegates Conference called expressly for the purpose of dissolution and approved by the Supreme Council.
  2. In such dissolution, all properties and funds of the Party less liability shall be distributed in a manner as shall be determined by the Special National Delegates Conference at which the resolution in favour of the dissolution is passed.
  3. The assets shall be granted to one or more organizations in Kenya whose objectives conform to those of the Party and who shall be voted for this purpose by two thirds of the members attending the meeting. The Supreme Council will prepare a list of all eligible organizations and present to the delegates for consideration and approval.
  4. The quorum for any meeting at which the dissolution of the Party is proposed shall be two-thirds of the delegates eligible to attend an Ordinary Session of the National Delegates Conference. The invitation, notices and membership of the meeting will be as defined in article 7.1 of conducting ordinary NDC.
  5. A resolution to dissolve the Party and organizations to receive the assets and fund upon dissolution shall be supported by at least two thirds of the delegates eligible to attend and vote.
  6. Voting shall be by Secret Ballot only.
